The USA health care expenditures have risen to be 17% of the GNP and the quality of the system has deteriorated to be the 28th in the world. This problem is going to be exacerbated as the “baby boomers” age and develop illnesses related to an aging population. There is a great need to improve the productivity of the individuals providing health care services so that high quality and timely health care can be provided to patient populations.
